FUN 'N SON SUMMER DAY CAMP OLIVET BAPTIST CHURCH  2006     VDATES: WEEK 1 JUNE 12-16 (6-9yrs only) WEEK 2 JUNE 19-23 WEEK 3 JUNE 26-30 BREAK for JULY 4th WEEK 4 JULY 10-14 WEEK 5 JULY 17-21 WEEK 6 JULY 24-28 Time: 9:00am - 3:30pm Enrolment Limit: 60 children, 25 counselors Age Limit: 6 (first grade)-13 (seventh grade) VGOAL: to reach the children of Oklahoma City's Ten-Penn area for Jesus Christ. VOBJECTIVES to present a daily program that will give children at-risk physically, emotionally, and spiritually a safe environment in which to grow and develop godly character. VMETHODS: These goals and objectives will be reached through: 1.Prayer That god will be giving complete control over what is taught through life example and physical activates Col. 1: 9-12, 15-20; 3: 17-23 2.Teaching: God's truth must be actively involved in all that we do. Every leader, counselor will teach by example as we are teaching Bible lessons, sports skills, music, discipline, and if necessary, in punishment. 3.Athletic Activities: Teaching basic skills at the student's level of learning. We plan to include camps of soccer, football, baseball, and cheerleading. 4.Music, skits drama 5.Crafts 6.Field Trips John 3:16, I Peter 4: 8-11, II Tim. 3:15, II Cor. 10:5, Ps. 55:18, Heb. 4:12, Phil 4:8, Phil 2: 12-13, II Tim. 2:5, II Tim 4:12 VTHEME:_______ VCOUNSELORS: ratio of counselors will be 1-4 (6-9yrs) and 1-6 (10-13yrs). Counselors will be chosen by their youth leaders based on godly character and desire to serve the Lord by serving children. Counselor's responsibilities will vary. The ages of the counselors will range from 14 yrs through adult. We will always place two counselors with a group of children. This is a place to use younger youth. Counselors will be responsible to stay with their children and know where they are at all times during the day. Meals, snacks, and T-shirts will be provided for each counselor. Their fees will be covered when we are on a field trip. Youth pastors and leaders should be on site with their youth during the week. This gives the counselors more accountability and confidence. VMATERIALS: the Bible is our primary source and together with the Word, we will be using __________ VDISCIPLINE: We will have  certain guidelines for behavior and responses when children do not respond to those guidelines. When a child is disruptive to the point that others are joining them or you can not teach, they must be sent to the office, and we will deal with the situation.  If a child should show up with a weapon of any sort, you must notify the director immediately and let the director deal with the child. We will discuss these things during our orientation. VORIENTATION: begins on Sunday prior to the week your youth group has chosen. We will meet at 3:00pm, and will serve supper. We will give you your T-shirts, and camp schedules at that time.
