FOOTBALL   Olivet sponsors inner city football teams ages 6 to 12   During the 2005 season  we had four teams with games played under the guidance of the  Northwest Classen Athletic Association which is part of The Oklahoma Football League made up of three associations with over fifty teams.   Under the rules, each head coach must be an active member of a church, there can be no abusive language, no hitting of the kids, and prayer must end each practice and game.   Cost involves a $35 per player plus a $5 entry fee. Each player buys his own pants and pads for his pants. We loan helmets, pads and jerseys which are to be turned in at end of season.   Parents  are asked to attend all games, help with fund raisers, and work the gate and concessions as needed when other teams are playing.    We have cheerleaders when there are volunteer moms to lead them.   Our goal is to provide a quality Christian experience for boys and girls in the inner city. We expect our coaches to be positive role models for the kids they work with.
